No wusy screensaver this - O'WONDER's eye-popping BiT BOPPER technology uses analog, digital or coded audio to generate spectacular 2 & 3D real-time multi-layer computer graphic and video images. WiTNESS THE BEAT!
The first product based on BiT BOPPER was the original 'Classic' BiT BOPPER multimedia entertainment system - launched into the rental market in 1988. This remarkable machine introduced the world's first live digital visuals into clubs, raves and other music venues. Often imitated, but never surpassed, the Classic BiT BOPPER's unique imagery has influenced the 'look' of live and music video effects ever since. In 1993, O'WONDER announced SONOVISTA, a compact and affordable BiT BOPPER powered system that was distributed in the US and Asia by High End Systems of Austin Texas. Like its big brother, SONOVISTA has been used by well known bands to generate real-time backdrop video effects for live concerts and music videos. Chances are, you have probably danced in the visual beat of BiT BOPPER imagery at sometime in your life!
Today, there are no Bit BOPPER powered products available from O'WONDER, although we have something special in the pipeline. 3rd parties are encouraged to contact us regarding licensing arrangements for video based lighting systems, game consoles, video effects products and kick-ass screensavers.

(This written in the 1980s)
You are standing in a crowded night club.
The previous track is coming to an end and you sense the DJ is about to play something with just a tad more energy. You smile apprehensively at your dance partner. The track starts and everyone begins to move, quickly adjusting to the beat. Your eye is caught by bright colors on the video screens surrounding the dance floor. Spinning around to take a look, you are struck by the intense and dynamic visuals.
"Well this is the hottest music video I have ever seen, it is even in time to the beat of the music. And look! The colors are changing on each beat too - this is incredibly!"
The crowd are mesmerized by the effects. The pulsating kaleidoscopic patterns are reflected in the eyes of your partner as well as the reflective surfaces inside the club. You squeeze through the dancers to the DJ console to find out the source of this awesome imagery.
Above the noise, the DJ tells you the club just installed a BiT BOPPER Video Synthesizer.
"A what?" you ask.
The DJ explains he refers to a unique technology that uses the intensity of music to generate real-time ambient visual effects on a video display - like those in the club.
"The effects are based on VIDEOGOBOS, digital images whose form can vary from simple abstract shapes and logos, to complex and striking psychedelic patterns or artwork. But these are no ordinary gobos. For unlike mechanical gobos (used in stage lighting) or photographic slides, VIDEOGobos can be colorized, animated and distorted in a manner only BiT BOPPER's Dynamic Graphics from Audio technology makes possible. It's pretty amazing really. We've seen nothing like it before. That's why we bought it!..."
The DJs explanation is interrupted as BiT BOPPER's 'Zap Flash' Video Strobe kicks in automatically - throwing high energy white light across the dance floor during an energetic portion of the music track.
"...The other thing that is cool about BiT BOPPER is that it can be left to run automatically, or I can just jam away live using the interactive keyboard - look I'll show you..."
The DJ presses a button on the keyboard and then begins to tap out a rhythm. The pattern on the video screens flash in sync with the tap of his finger. And when he releases his finger, the Virtual Rhythm(tm) system ensures the effect continues - automatically!
"And we can create more romantic effects. When this track finishes, I will play a slow song and show you."
"OK, here goes..."
As the next track starts, the DJ presses a key to recall a previously stored iCUE (Intelligent CUE) Sequence. The previous image fades away and is replaced by gently swirling carpets of color. So 60s - so 90s!
The DJ presses a button on the lighting desk and the conventional moving lights over the dance floor project red. He then presses the RED color filter control on the BiT BOPPER keyboard and the imagery on the video screen fades to the new color, coordinating with the ambient lighting.
A warm and inviting dark red glow fills the dance floor as couples slowly dance the last track away.
Awake!
This vision is real! Already, venues and studios worldwide are benefitting from BiT BOPPER's unique contemporary visuals.
Furthermore, you can insert advertisements and messages within the light show - ensuring you not only enthrall your audience, but communicate with them too.
